Rehearse before the real exam! Practice with the ACTEX ALTAM Graded Mock Exam - a great way to predict your exam outcome! Before you take the official ALTAM exam - take the ACTEX ALTAM Graded Mock Exam and get feedback from expert, Yugeng Guo.
Yufeng Guo has designed the graded mock exam to mirror the SOA Exam ALTAM. This Mock exam has all the typical elements your SOA exam will have plus the questions and format are set up just like the SOA ALTAM exam. This allows you to gain insights into the content, format and your strengths and weaknesses prior to taking the exam.
How does it work?
- Only 50 Graded Mock exams accepted for the April ‘25 exam
- You will receive the ACTEX ALTAM Graded Mock Exam by mid February
- The Mock Exam will come in a PDF format. You will write your solutions on your own paper.
- Take the exam in the allotted time so you can simulate the 3 hours that will be given at the actual exam
- To submit your solutions for grading, you will scan and email to the instructor. Last submission date: TBD
- Yufeng Guo will review, grade and provide written feedback within 2 weeks

About the Authors:
Johnny Li, PhD, FSA
Professor Li is Professor and the Holder of the Munich Re Chair in Predictive Analytics at the University Of Waterloo, Canada. His current teaching and research focus on the interface between actuarial science and predictive analytics. Over the years, his research contributions have led to several prestigious awards, including the Society of Actuaries (SOA) Redington Prize, the SOA Edward A. Lew Award and the SCOR Actuarial Award in Asia.
Andrew Ng, PhD, FSA
Professor Ng is an Associate Professor of Practice in Actuarial Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prof. Ng has more than 15 years of experience in actuarial science and financial mathematics education. He teaches a broad range of actuarial science and finance courses, including life contingencies, derivative securities, risk management, and predictive analytics. In 2012, he was awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prof. Ng received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa.
Yufeng Guo, ASA
Yufeng Guo immigrated to the U.S. from China in 1996 and has been an actuary for 20 years. He is a career ASA currently working for Mutual of Omaha, Nebraska.
